Arcade arcade games like Fish Hunter are drawing the older crowd with a few investing 1000s of dollars over the years. With his greying head of hair and diminutive stature, Mr Zhen is an odd sight amongst the young kids at the game arcade. Thrice weekly, the 70-calendar year-aged joins other people in a shoot-’em-up video game known as Fish Hunter.
A maximum of 6 to 8 players can play together on a tabletop arcade device, casting digital nets to catch fish on the large screen. Mr Zhen declines to disclose his full name as his wife and youngsters are not aware that he has spent lots of time and money on the arcade. He estimations that in the last 7 years, they have invested at least $30,000, forking out $50 each time he would go to the arcade at Causeway Reason for Woodlands. There, he plonks himself onto a padded seat and begins striking away at buttons for around 6 hours or till he becomes exhausted. The amount of money he usually spends originates from his savings but he states he is hooked.

“Teenagers have mobile game titles and video arcade games at home, so arcades are becoming much less well-liked by them,” stated Mr Suntan. Also well-liked by more mature folk is Animal Kaiser, a game title where gamers can area animals to battle virtual opponents. A spokesman for OmOcha!!
